"Avan Avan Soothu Yeri Podu Avanukku Vali Ennanu Theriyum" /
"One would understand the pain when their own butt hurts"
This kural means that when someone's butt hurts on the scale of that butt being under fire, for example, when someone has piles, it is difficult to sit and that person who is suffering would feel the extent of that pain, which only that person could understand. If that person with piles share this experience with another person with no knowledge of the same, they would not be able to completely understand the level of pain.
In the same way, when someone is suffering due to certain reasons, people who have not experienced it before and does not have mental maturity might not understand the full scale of that pain.
To elaborate further, when someone has an irreparable loss, it is difficult for the other person to gauge the size of the pain. However, when the same person goes through their own, then they might understand it better.
Is it always necessary that someone has to go through the same pain to understand?
Not necessary.
Experience, Relevant education and Observing worldly happenings could help us gauge the situation better, if we are willing to learn from those worldly happenings.
